Yom Kippur Information and Shabbos Shuvah Drasha
Rabbi Rosenbaum's Shabbos Shuvah/Yom Kippur Drasha – September 25, 2020 – Parshas Haazinu:
Dear Friends,
As we continue through these holy days under challenging circumstances, I would like to share a few pieces of halachic advice/reminders relevant to our unique circumstances:
* Though we are restricted from washing ourselves on Yom Kippur, we are allowed to do so to remove something undesirable. Under current circumstances, I would strongly urge everyone to wash hands or apply hand sanitizer with the same frequency that one would do on a normal day.
* Those davening shacharis at the later shift should remember to say keriyas shema before 9:59 am.
* Even though we are having an early minyan for neilah, all restrictions of Yom Kippur are in effect until 7:35.
* Please remember to bring your own machzor and something upon which to bow during the morning davening.
For kohanim and leviim, click here for the guidelines for birchas kohanim that we observed on Rosh Hashanah and will also observe on Yom Kippur are attached.
Click here for guidance for those davening privately this Yom Kippur. You will be missed, and I look forward to your return to shul when appropriate.
Gmar Chasimah Tovah, may Hashem bless all of us, the Jewish People, and the entire World, with a wonderful year.
Rabbi Dovid Rosenbaum
