YISE Programs and Listings

Dedication of Upstairs Pre-School Playroom – Family & friends of Dr. Avi Karkowsky, Z"L, contributed to the refurbishing of the upstairs pre-school playroom, behind the balcony, in loving memory of his devotion to children of all ages. Please note the improvements and the plaque when you drop off children to learn and play there.

Family Minyan – The next YISE Family Minyan will take place on the 7th Day of Pesach, April 10, at 9:00 AM in the Large Social Hall. YISE is exploring a new minyan to address the growing needs of young families in the community. Please bring your children and help make this Minyan a success. The Family Minyan is focused on engaging children and making Shul a meaningful experience for both adults and children. Lots of singing with familiar tunes. D'var Torah geared towards elementary school age children. Note that there will NOT be a 8:00 Minyan on the 7th Day of Pesach.

Dedicate a Window – YISE is raffling off the dedication of the two recently installed stained-glass windows. One ticket: $36. Three tickets: $100. Drawing at YISE on April 15. Annual Yom HaShoah Program – Sunday, April 19, 7:30 PM at YISE. Mr. Isaac Gendelman, who survived during the Holocaust in the woods near his town of Rokitno, Poland, will be the featured speaker. Mincha at 7:10 and Maariv to follow program. Children in grades 5 and older are encouraged to attend.

The Fifth Annual Siyum Tanach in Memory of Rav Anemer ZT"L will be held at a Shalosh Seudos on Shabbos, April 25, Parshas Tazria-Metzorah. Thank you to everyone for signing up. All of the sections have been claimed.

How to Pray with Kavannah and Serve Hashem with Simcha – A lunch and workshop at YISE. Sunday, May 17, 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM. Helping Hands Across Kemp Mill – YISE's Chesed Committee has a program to help members undergoing serious medical crises. The Haimish Kiddush Group was created in 2010 to ensure that there will be a kiddush following the 8:45 Minyan every Shabbos. The Group would like to invite you to join us in 2015. The cost to become a member is $100. You can also choose to be set up with automatic renewal that will charge you each year for the Haimish Kiddush Group. The 8:45 Main Minyan L'Chaim Group was created to provide a L'Chaim every Shabbos there is a Haimish Kiddush and is financially and operationally separate from the Haimish Kiddush. YISE Youth Announcements

The Youth Minyan will meet all the Yom Tov days of Pesach at 9:15 AM sharp.

Groups will NOT meet on the 1st and 2nd days of Pesach. On the 7th and 8th days of Pesach there will be groups for 2-5 year-olds ONLY: 2-5 year-olds meet in the youth room behind the balcony. Groups run 10 AM-11:15 AM. On the 8th day of Pesach, groups will run until 11:30 AM (for Yizkor). Please pick up child(ren) promptly.
