The Chevra Kadisha of Greater Washington is comprised of volunteers with representation from all the Orthodox communities in the Greater Washington area. In a typical year, we perform more than 400 Taharot under the Halachic guidance of the Vaad of Greater Washington. Our volunteer roster has been significantly depleted due to age, Aliyah, and at-risk health situations of many volunteers. Consequently, we need your help.
