CONDOLENCES TO:

Rene Isser and family on the passing of her mother, Dora Wyrobnik, z"l. The funeral took place Thursday afternoon in Dayton, OH. Shiva will be observed in Silver Spring at the Isser home, 11533 Daffodil Lane, from Saturday night through Wednesday morning. The Isser family requests no visitors between 12 noon and 1:30pm, between 5pm and 6pm or after 10pm. Minyan schedule is as follows: Shacharis: Sunday – 8:00am, Monday – 6:50am, Tuesday/Wednesday (Rosh Chodesh) – 6:40am. Mincha/Maariv: Sunday through Tuesday: 7:50pm.

YISE YOUTH ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Youth Minyan will start at 9:15am in the small side of the Social Hall.

Summer groups for children ages 2-5 are in the youth rooms upstairs, and will run from 10 – 11:15. Groups for 1st- 4th grade will resume after summer.

Torah, Tefillah, and Tofutti – The YISE Youth Department invites all families this Shabbos, August 7, to Torah, Tefillah, and Tofutti. Please join us from 4:00-5:00 in the YISE Arcola Social Hall for family chevrusa-style learning, inspiring discussions, and delicious parve ice cream, all followed by early Mincha.

Rabbi Rosenbaum`s Shiur for 6th – 8th grade boys will meet this Shabbos one hour before Mincha.

Rabbi Zev Katz`s Wednesday morning YISE Chumash class, previously taught by Rabbi Anemer, z"l, meets Wednesdays at 11:00 am. in the Small Beis Medrash.

Rabbi Moshe Arzouan`s Wednesday evening Advanced Men`s Gemara shiur, previously taught by Rabbi Anemer, z"l, follows Maariv at University Blvd.

It`s your Shul – Care for it the way you would want your home to be treated!

FOR WOMEN ONLY – Please join us for this summer`s second YISE Sisterhood-sponsored Summer Women`s Seudah Shlishit, Shabbos Ki Tavo, August 28, 5pm – 7pm, YISE Arcola Social Hall.

The theme of this Seudah Shlishit program is "Bein Isha L`Isha: Between Woman and Woman," and will continue to explore the joys, challenges, and importance of fostering female friendships and relationships.

Attendees will enjoy a "Mid-East Feast" of authentic Mediterranean falafel, salads and spreads with decor that will inspire and create Mediterranean memories, while meeting and mingling with other women from the community. The program will include a d`var Torah exploring the many sides of female relationships as well as a performance by a community-based women`s choir. Tempting desserts will conclude the program. All women welcome and encouraged to attend! (But we kindly request no children under the age of 12 years old.)
