Ina Lerman on the passing of her father, Elliott Miller. The funeral took place Wednesday in Pikesville. Shiva will be observed at the home of Ina`s sister, Ann Berman, 3212 Northbrook Rd., Baltimore. Ina may be reached during Shiva at 410-653-2850 or 301-325-4926 (cell). The family requests no visitors between 12:00 noon and 2:00pm and between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. The minyan schedule is as follows: Shacharis: Sunday 9:00am, Monday/Tuesday: 7:00am; Mincha/Maariv Sunday/Monday: 4:55pm.

Judy Rosenthal on the passing of her father, Robert D. Katzoff. The funeral took place Thursday in Pikesville. Shiva will be observed at the Rosenthal home, 1220 Arcola Avenue, through Wednesday morning. The family requests no visitors between 12 noon and 1:00pm, between 6:00pm and 7:00pm or after 10:00pm. The minyan schedule is as follows: Shacharis: Sunday 8:00am, Monday 6:45am, Tuesday/Wednesday: 7:00am; Mincha/Maariv: Sunday/Monday/Tuesday: 5:00pm.

YISE YOUTH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Youth Groups this Shabbos meet at 10am. 1st – 4th grade girls meet upstairs in the small Beis Medrash; 1st – 4th grade boys at the Yeshiva (meet in the YISE downstairs lobby at 10am); 2-5 year olds meet in the large Youth room behind the women`s balcony. 11:15am – pick up 2-5 year olds in the large Youth room and 1st-4th graders in the small Youth room.

Rabbi Rosenbaum`s Shiur for 6th-8th grade boys will not meet this Shabbos.

Children in grades K-2 are invited to a post-Tu B`Shvat celebration Sunday, Jan. 23. Join us from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon in the YISE Social Hall for exciting activities, delicious snacks, and lots of fun. The cost is $5 per child.

Sushi! Boys in grades 6-8 are invited to a Sushi making demonstration Motzei Shabbos, Jan. 29, 8:00-9:15 pm, at the Miller home, 816 Hillsboro Drive. Enjoy the delicious sushi dinner that you will learn to make yourself. You will also get your own bamboo sushi mat to take with you. The cost is $10 per person.

Talmud Yoma – Shiur Monday thru Thursday, small Beis Medrash, 11am-12 Noon. Beis Medrash Zichron Gedaliah Community Tuesday Night Learning for Men – in the YISE small Social Hall. Rabbi Zev Katz`s Wednesday morning Chumash class, previously taught by Rabbi Anemer, z"l, will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 11am in the small Beis Medrash at Arcola.

Rabbi Moshe Arzouan`s Wednesday evening Advanced Men`s Gemara shiur, previously taught by Rabbi Anemer, z"l, meets at 7:30pm, after Maariv at University Bl.

Rabbi Rosenbaum`s Gemara shiur for men, Tuesday and Friday mornings, Arcola Social Hall, 6:00-6:45am, will resume Jan. 25.

Rabbi Rosenbaum`s Sunday night shiur for men in Mishna Brurah meets at his home. For more information contact jobstfeld@yise.org. It will not meet this Sunday.

Rabbi Rosenbaum`s Wednesday night Women`s shiur meets 8pm, Small Beis Medrash. It will resume Jan. 26.

The Greater Washington Community Kollel Linas Hatzedek program is presented in conjunction with the YISE Adult Education Committee on Sunday mornings, 9:30am, following the 8:45am Shacharis.

"Opening Our Homes and Hearts" – Sunday morning, Feb. 6, 9:30am in conjunction with YISE Adult Education Committee, The Greater Washington Community Kollel presents an inspiring lecture on Hachnasas Orchim given by Rabbi Yitzchak Charner, Headmaster of The Torah School of Greater Washington. The lecture will be at YISE.
