TEAM Shabbos – For the second year, YISE is joining with the National Association of Chevra Kadisha (NASCK) for a TEAM (Traditional End-of-Life Awareness Movement) Shabbos, when Shuls around the country designate one Shabbos to address end of life issues. Rabbi Silver's Shiur between Mincha and Maariv will be an analysis of the significance of burial in Eretz Yisroel.

YISE Youth Announcements

The Youth Minyan will meet this Shabbos at 9:15 AM sharp in the Small Beis Medrash, followed by a Kiddush sponsored by the Youth Minyan.

Please join us this week for groups: 2-5 year-olds meet in the youth room behind the balcony; Girls 1st-4th grade gather in the main lobby and Boys 1st-4th grade gather outside the Social Hall and walk to the Yeshiva. Early care for 2-5 year-olds runs from 9:30-10:00. Groups for all ages run 10:00 AM – 11:15 AM. Please pick up child(ren) promptly.

JCC Maccabi Games – We are looking for participants to join Team Greater Washington at the Mid-Atlantic Junior Games on May 7 (for ages 10-12) and the weeklong JCC Maccabi Games and Arts Fest (for ages 13-16), held this summer in Albany, Birmingham and Miami. Teens do not need to be a member of a JCC to participate. The Games are a week-long Olympic-style event for young Jewish athletes aged 13-16. Athletes interact with other Jewish teens from all over the world through social activities, participate in community service projects, and go home with friendships and memories to last a lifetime!
