Dispelling Myths Regarding Autism: Sunday, January 13, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM. YISE Small Social Hall. Autism, a developmental disorder that is growing in prevalence, affects social skills, communication, and repetitive behaviors. Awareness and understanding of autism increases the chances of early diagnosis and support. Learn from an expert panel: the signs and symptoms of autism, the experience of parenting a child with autism, techniques for teaching children with this diagnosis, the perspective of an openly autistic professional, and some Jewish insights on disabilities.
