Second Annual Siyum Tanach
The second yahrzeit of Rav Anemer zt"l will be marked with our second annual siyum Tanach at a seudah shlishit on April 28, Shabbos Tazria-Metzorah. The Adult Education Committee will coordinate the effort, which will culminate around the time of the Rav's yahrzeit (Rosh Chodesh Iyar). The Committee has divided the Tanach into 133 sections, and an online sign-up form can be accessed at the synagogue's website, or you may call Bob Levi at 301-593-2399 to register for a particular section. Individuals, couples, families, or chavrusas can sign-up for one or more of the Tanach sections to study. Don't delay! As of February 28, over one-third of the slots have been spoken for.

The Mitzvah of Matanos Laevyonim
Those wishing to fulfill the mitzvah of matanos laevyonim through the Shul, with the primary recipients being individuals from the community, can bring their donations to the Shul Purim night. They can also be given to Rabbi Rosenbaum in person or dropped off at the office any time before Purim. PLEASE DO NOT MAIL CONTRIBUTIONS. Checks can be made out to YISE Charity Fund.

The sixth annual Rose & Bernard Singer Megilla Reading Program, in memory of the parents of YISE member Saul Singer, recruits those who read Megillah to do so for shut-ins and other community members who might miss out on hearing a megillah reading. ERUV STATUS THIS SHABBOS
Due to the ongoing challenges involving road construction and utility work, the Eruv is likely to be down for the foreseeable future.
The Eruv Association will do its best to make repairs, but do not expect an announcement about the status of the Eruv until close to Shabbos. Call one of the shul hotlines just before candle-lighting. The Silver Spring Eruv Association recommends you never put yourself in a situation where you must have the Eruv. NEWS FROM THE WALLERSTEIN MIKVAH
The March operating hours for the Wallerstein Mikvah are: Sunday-Thursday: 7:30 – 9:30pm. Special Hours only for Purim night, Wednesday, March 7, 8:30 – 10:30pm. Saturday: The Mikvah will open one hour and 45 minutes after the latest candle lighting, and remain open for two hours. Friday nights: call 301-681-3737 to schedule an appointment. Please call at least 24 hours in advance and someone will contact you to schedule the appointment. Please note that the Mikvah actually closes at 9:30pm. Last shower is at 9:15pm (15 minutes before closing); Last bath is at 9pm (30 minutes before closing). There are no appointments, except for Friday and Yom Tov evenings. For any other assistance, leave a message on the Mikvah answering machine and someone will contact you within 24 hours.
Talk to the Rabbi -Rabbi Rosenbaum is available by phone (no meetings are scheduled) from 10am to 11am, Sunday through Friday, barring extenuating circumstances. Of course, people can call at any time and either speak with him or leave a message. His office number is 301-593-4465, ext. 405.
