This week's Youth Minyan Kiddush is sponsored by the Youth Minyan Kiddush Group.
YISE Shabbos groups 2 – 5 year-olds meet in the youth room behind the balcony; Girls 1st – 4th grade meet in the Small Beis Medrash; Boys 1st – 4th grade gather outside the Social Hall and walk over to the Yeshiva. Groups are from 10am – 11:15am. Please pick your child(ren) up promptly.

Rabbi Rosenbaum's mussar (spiritual self-improvement) study group for women, based on "Alei Shur" by Rav Wolbe, meets Sunday at 9:30am in the Arcola Social Hall.
Marketing and Disclosure – This Sunday, join the Greater Washington Community Kollel as they begin a new and fascinating topic – Marketing and Disclosure: The Do's and Don'ts. 9:30am, Beis Medrash.

Rabbi Moshe Arzouan's advanced Gemara shiur for men meets Wednesday night at University Blvd. at 7:30 (after the 7:15 Maariv).
Rabbi Rosenbaum's Chumash shiur for women meets Wednesdays at 8pm in the Arcola Beis Medrash.
Beis Medrash Zichron Gedaliah- Tuesday, 8-9pm, small side Arcola Social Hall. A joint program of YISE and Kollel Zichron Amram. The program offers shiurim in beginners and advanced gemara, and also in Machshava (at this point we are learning Chovos Halevavos).Also, one on one chavrusas are available and can be arranged for those who are interested. A series of shiurim on Megillas Esther began last Tuesday.
Yesodei Hatorah continues Thursdays at 8pm in the Arcola Social Hall.

CPR Class at YISE – Bikur Cholim is offering a course in adult and child CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) Sunday, Feb. 26, 9:30am to 1:30pm in the upstairs Youth room at YISE. The instructor is Juli Egebrecht, AHA CPR instructor for 36 years. The cost is $25 per person and includes the instruction booklet that should be reviewed prior to the course. Second Annual Siyum Tanach
The second yahrzeit of Rav Anemer zt"l will be marked with our second annual siyum Tanach at a seudah shlishit on April 28, Shabbos Tazria-Metzorah. The Adult Education Committee will coordinate the effort, which will culminate around the time of the Rav's yahrzeit (Rosh Chodesh Iyar). The Committee has divided the Tanach into 133 sections, and an online sign-up form can be accessed at the synagogue's website, or you may call Bob Levi at 301-593-2399 to register for a particular section. Individuals, couples, families, or chavrusas can sign-up for one or more of the Tanach sections to study.
Don't delay! As of February 15, over one-fifth of the slots have been spoken for.
PURIM NEWS & NOTES
The 11th Annual Purim Yahrzeit shiur in memory of Jane Axelrod (Raizel bas Simcha) is Purim, Thursday, March 8, 10:30am in the Penthouse Party Room at 1121 University Blvd W. (University Towers).The shiur ends by 11:00am. Please note new venue.
Shiur on Megillas Esther — As part of the Tuesday night Zichron Gedaliah Bais Medrash program for men, from 8 to 9, Rabbi Yitzchak Scher will be giving a shiur on Megillas Esther with the Gra's commentary every week until Purim.
The sixth annual Rose & Bernard Singer Megilla Reading Program will take place this Purim, honoring the parents of YISE member Saul Singer. The purpose of the Program is to ensure that no Jew in our community misses out on hearing a megillah reading because of illness, infirmity, or due to some other reason that prevents him or her from getting to Shul on Purim. The YISE Sisterhood Announces its 3rd Annual Membership Tea Sunday, Feb. 26, 10am to 12 noon at the YISE Arcola Social Hall. Enjoy some "Winter Warmth" at the morning's program, including a dairy brunch complete with warm hors d'oeuvres, warm drinks, and warm desserts, as well as a heartwarming D'var Torah by Rebbetzin Atara Rosenbaum.
The event will also include a 30 minute Pottery Barn presentation on decorative table settings. Pottery Barn representatives will arrange and discuss a variety of table settings and answer your design questions.
