Seudah Shlishit in Commemoration of the First Yahrzeit of Rav Gedaliah Anemer zt"l

The YISE Adult Education Committee has planned for the commemoration our Rav's first yahrzeit with a community-wide completion of learning of Tanach, as well as a siyum on Seder Moed of Mishnayot, and a siyum on Meschet Zevachim of Talmud Bavli. The seudah will take place in the Arcola Social Hall after a 7:00pm mincha in the Belonofsky Sanctuary, and a 6:55pm Sephardic mincha.

CHANGE OF DATE: Women's Seudah Shlishit now May 21st, 4-6 p.m.

Due to uncommunicated constraints on the use of the Social Hall on May 14th, the shul office has asked the Sisterhood to change the date for its Mother's Day Seudah Shlishit honoring all women to Shabbos afternoon, May 21. The event will run from 4-6pm in the YISE Arcola Social Hall. Attendees will still enjoy a "make-your own wrap" bar and a variety of chocolate desserts while socializing with other women from the community, still bring and share their favorite Mother's Day memories, and still hear inspiring words of Torah from our guest speaker, Susan Koss. The date might have changed but the experience has not!! All women are welcome and encouraged to attend! (But we request no children under 12). Sponsorships are welcome at $18 (or more). Checks should be made out to "YISE Sisterhood," and sent, preferably in advance of the seudah so we are able to formally thank you at the event, to Hedy Bauman (Treasurer), 1131 University Blvd. W. #610 Reminder! You must call/email the office to maintain a name on the new Shul Cholim List – Names must be renewed twice monthly, by the first and fifteenth of each month, to stay on the list. Contact Esther Edeson, 301-593-4465, ext. 402, or esther@yise.org, even if they are on the list already.
