YISE YOUTH ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Youth Minyan meets at 9:15am.

Youth Groups this Shabbos meet from 10am to 11:15am for 2-5 year-olds ONLY in the large Youth room behind the women's balcony. Groups for 1st – 4th grade boys and girls will resume in the fall.

Rabbi Rosenbaum's Shiur for 6th-8th grade boys will meet this Shabbos 1 hour before Mincha.

Wheelchair Access – Plans are in place to remove the last bench in the downstairs Women's Section of the Belonofsky Sanctuary and replace it with a row of chairs. When a woman in a wheelchair is present, chairs can be removed to provide space. An announcement will follow when the project has been completed.

Starting next week, Wednesday, Aug. 10, the Arcola 6:45/55am Shacharis and Arcola weekday Mincha/Maariv minyans will take place in the Belonofsky Sanctuary.

Rabbi Zev Katz's Wednesday morning Chumash shiur is on summer break.

Rabbi Moshe Arzouan's Wednesday evening Advanced Men's Gemara shiur for men meets one hour before Mincha at University Blvd.

Rabbi Rosenbaum's Gemara shiur for men will resume Friday, Aug.12.

Rabbi Rosenbaum's Sunday night shiur for men will resume Aug. 7.

Rabbi Rosenbaum's Wednesday night Women's shiur will meet Aug. 10 at 8pm in the Arcola Social Hall.

Linas Hatzedek – The Greater Washington Community Kollel – Due to the Three Weeks, Linas Hatzedek will continue the topic of "Gossip and Slander – Hold Your Tongue." The program is presented jointly with the YISE Adult Education Committee, Sunday mornings 9:30am, following the 8:45 Shacharis.

Gemara Basics – The Greater Washington Community Kollel's weekly Yesodei Hatorah shiur for men meets on Thursdays, 8:30pm, in the Arcola Social Hall.

Linas Hatzedek and Yesodei HaTorah will be on hiatus from after Tisha B'Av until Elul Semester.

The YISE Safety Committee has placed 3 emergency phones around the Shul: one upstairs near the shul office under the sink, one near the meat kitchen under the sink in the social hall, and one in the First Aid kit under the tallesim near the Belonofsky Sanctuary. These phones only call 911.

Please join the YISE Sisterhood for its Summer Women`s Seudah Shlishit, Shabbos Nachamu afternoon, Aug. 13, 5 – 7pm, in the Arcola Social Hall. The theme is "Sensational Summers." Attendees will enjoy pareve picnic foods while meeting and mingling with other women from the community. We will discuss the many facets of summer and those who wish can share their most treasured summer memories. A summer-themed dvar Torah by Yael Cortell will follow. Summer desserts and drinks will conclude the program. All women are welcome and encouraged to attend! We request no children under the age of 12 years old.
