Rabbi Rosenbaum plans on being away Thursday, Jan. 13 to Sunday, Jan. 23.
Rabbi Hyatt and Rabbi Reingold have both kindly agreed to answer shaalos in his absence. Anyone who needs to contact Rabbi Rosenbaum regarding a pressing matter should contact the shul office.
Kemp Mill Park Redesign meeting – The third meeting in the process to redesign, etc. the small park at Lamberton and Arcola is scheduled for this coming Wednesday, Jan. 12, 6:30-9:30, at Kemp Mill Elementary School, 411 Sisson St. The draft design will be presented for comment, then there will be a final meeting scheduled for the spring. YISE YOUTH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Youth Groups this Shabbos meet at 10am. 1st – 4th grade girls meet upstairs in the small Beis Medrash; 1st – 4th grade boys at the Yeshiva (meet in the YISE downstairs lobby at 10am); 2-5 year olds meet in the large Youth room behind the women`s balcony. Pick up the 2-5 year olds in the large Youth room and the 1st-4th graders in the small Youth room.
The Youth Minyan Kiddush is sponsored by Mrs. Francine Klugerman in honor of the anniversary of Hillel`s bar mitzvah and his birthday.
Rabbi Rosenbaum`s Shiur for 6th-8th grade boys will meet this Shabbos 1 hour before Mincha.
NEW DATE The next Dor L`Dor will be on Motzei Shabbos, January 8, 7:00pm. Please note the date change. All families are invited to join us in the Arcola Social Hall for family chevrusah-style learning, inspiring discussions, delicious pizza, exciting prizes and a special treat. Children in grades K-2 are invited to a post-Tu B`Shvat celebration Sunday, Jan. 23. Come and join us from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon in the YISE Social Hall for exciting activities, delicious snacks, and lots of fun. The cost is $5 per child.
Sushi! Boys in grades 6-8 are invited to a Sushi Making Demonstration Motzei Shabbos,
Jan. 29, 8:00-9:15 pm, at the Miller`s home, 816 Hillsboro Drive. Come enjoy the delicious sushi dinner that you will learn to make for yourself. You will also get your own bamboo sushi mat to take with you. The cost is $10 per person.

Rabbi Zev Katz`s Wednesday morning Chumash class, previously taught by Rabbi Anemer, z"l, will not meet for two weeks. It will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 11am in the small Beis Medrash at Arcola.
Rabbi Moshe Arzouan`s Wednesday evening Advanced Men`s Gemara shiur, previously taught by Rabbi Anemer, z"l, meets at 7:30pm, after Maariv at University Bl.
Rabbi Rosenbaum`s Gemara shiur for men, Tuesday and Friday mornings, Arcola Social Hall, 6:00-6:45am, will not meet this Friday.

Bnei Akiva Snif will take place this week at KMS at 3:45pm. A walking group will leave from YISE at 3:15pm. We hope to see all 3rd-6th graders there!
Online Computer Courses – The OU offers online Beginners- and Intermediate-level courses in Dreamweaver, Excel, Photoshop, and Quickbooks, starting in January. Courses include six 90-minute sessions. $36 registration fee each; register at www.oujobs.org.

KASHRUT ALERT – General Mills is discontinuing the OU-D kosher certification from all sizes of Bugles Original. The OU-D symbol will begin to be removed from packaging in February. You may see some Bugles Original packages with the OU-D symbol and some without as the transition occurs. The Bugles with the OU-D are in fact kosher.
Rabbi Lazer Brody, a decorated IDF war hero who transformed himself into one of the leading Kiruv Ravs of this generation, will speak at 8pm, Monday evening, Jan. 17, in the Belonofsky Sanctuary at YISE.
