Youth Announcements

The Youth Minyan will meet the first two days of Sukkos, Shabbos Chol Hamoed, Shemini Atzeres and Shabbos Bereshis at 9:15 AM sharp.

Youth Groups for 2-5 year olds will be held on the first two days of Sukkos, S`habbos Chol Hamoed, Shemini Atzeres and Shabbos Bereshis in the youth room behind the balcony.

Youth groups on Shabbos Chol Hamoed, Shemini Atzeres and Shabbos Bereshis for Girls 1st-4th grade (gather in the main lobby) and Boys 1st-4th grade (gather outside the Social Hall) and walk to the Yeshiva. Groups run 10:00 AM – 11:15 AM. Please pick up child(ren) promptly.

YISE Youth Department's Annual Sukkah Hop! All parents and children Pre-K to 6th grade are encouraged to join us for this year's exciting Sukkah Hop! Please join us on Shabbos Chol Hamoed, September 21, at 4:00 PM at the YISE Arcola Sukkah to begin our journey, Rain or Shine.

Simchas Torah – The Simchas Torah Family Extravaganza will take place on Thursday evening, September 26. Join us for exciting singing, dancing, and delicious treats for the kids, and a special festive Fleishig Kiddush provided by the Youth Department! YISE Sisterhood Simchas Torah Day Kiddush at YISE – Sponsorships for the Kiddush can be made in honor of loved ones or upcoming Simchas, in commemoration of Yahrzeits, or to simply show appreciation for the YISE community and YISE Sisterhood. Sponsorship checks should be made out to YISE Sisterhood and sent to Hedy Bauman, 1131 University Blvd. W., #610, or e-mail Ilana Branda at ibranda@yise.org to pledge a donation. Cleanup in Sligo Creek Park – Fun Chesed opportunity co-sponsored by YISE, KMS, & MJBHA Sunday, September 29, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. In conjunction with Friends of Sligo Creek, clean up the Kemp Mill Shopping Center Park/Sligo Park. Meet at the entrance to Sligo Creek Park near Shalom's. Gloves and bags will be distributed. The Greater Washington Community Kollel in conjunction with YISE invite the community to a lecture on "Dina D'Malchusa Dina and Political Economy: Halachic Perspectives On Socialism vs. Libertarianism" by Rabbi Yitzhak Grossman, Rosh Chaburah and Senior Lecturer at the Kollel.
