Kiddushes to Resume Shabbos Ha'Azinu, Sept. 29 — Following this Shabbos, there will not be Kiddushes on Shabbos, Sept. 15 or Sept. 22, as the Social Hall will be set up for Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur davening. No food will be prepared or cosumed in the Social Hall.

YISE Lulavim/Esrogim Through Eli Chai

YISE will again be obtaining its Lulavim and Esrogim through Elli Chai on University Blvd. Orders may be placed through the Shul office, 301-593-4465, ext 402, by email at lulav@yise.org or on the web at www.yise.org/lulav. You must order through the Shul to get the discount. Deadline for orders is Friday, Sept. 21.

There will be 3 tiers of pricing/quality, as follows: Aleph $70; Bet $55; Gimmel $45. This is a modest increase in price over last year.

Helping Hands Across Kemp Mill – YISE's Chesed Committee is organizing to support members with a variety of urgent needs (medical crisis, caring for family, etc). The Nusach Sefard Minyan will meet in the small Beis Medrash Motzei Shabbos, Sept. 8 at 10:15 pm. The meeting will address High Holiday seating preferences for University Boulevard, as they are assigning seats for the first time.

The Chevra Kadisha of Greater Washington urgently needs volunteers to conduct taharot, the process by which bodies of Jews are prepared for burial according to Jewish tradition.
