Rabbi Sanford H. Shudnow, who conducted the Memorial Service at the Disabled American Veterans, District of Columbia, 90th Annual Department Convention at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Washington, last month. Rabbi Shudnow is a life member of the DAV and retired U.S. Navy Chaplain, living in Silver Spring.
Time to Clean Out Lost & Found and the Coat Racks! The Shul has clothing & toys that have been left behind in the building. If you are missing something, please check the boxes in the corner of the downstairs coatroom. Also, if you have left coats hanging up either upstairs or downstairs, please take them home. Linas Hatzedek – The Greater Washington Community Kollel – On account of the upcoming Three Weeks, Linas Hatzedek will begin the topic of "Gossip and Slander – Hold Your Tongue." The program is presented jointly with the YISE Adult Education Committee, Sunday mornings 9:30am, following the 8:45 Shacharis.
Gemara Basics – The Greater Washington Community Kollel's weekly Yesodei Hatorah shiur for men meets on Thursdays, 8:40pm, in the Arcola Social Hall.

THE TODDLER ROOM
Many parents and young children use the toddler room every week and rely on its contents being safe, clean, and in good condition. Many of the books and toys in it are becoming worn out and need to be replaced. If you have any gently used toys or books at home that are no longer being used and are taking up valuable space, we can give them a good second home. Please consider donating any good condition suitable items you may have, such as: Large plastic storage containers, especially with lids; Wooden puzzles; Children's books, especially board books; Easy-to-clean baby toys, such as sorting toys, pull-toys, etc; Toy trains, cars, buses, etc.; Toy kitchen items (plastic food, pots, etc.). Rides and Volunteers for Seniors – The Senior Connection, a non-profit serving lower Montgomery Co., provides free escorted rides to scheduled medical appointments, helps with grocery shopping and pays friendly visits or makes phone calls to share companionship.
