<p>Please remember the Shul rents parking spaces from Parkland Pool, behind the Shul building. Members should not park in the Shopping Center lot unless shopping there. Also, please be careful when crossing the street to the Shul. Traffic in and out of the Shopping Center, both on Lamberton and Arcola, can be heavy at times. Proceed with caution! Finally, when parking in the Pool lot behind the Shul, do not block in the large moving vans parked there. They rent that space and can have your car towed away if you block them in.</p>

<p>Sustainability Circle &#8211; A group of local community members are gathering monthly for a &#034;Sustainability Circle,&#034; an ongoing discussion of environmental issues and potential environmental actions, within the context of Jewish tradition. <p>The theme of this Seudah Shlishit program is &#034;Bein Isha L`Isha: Between Woman and Woman,&#034; and will continue to explore the joys, challenges, and importance of fostering female friendships and relationships.</p>
<p>Attendees will enjoy a &#034;Mid-East Feast&#034; of authentic Mediterranean falafel, salads and spreads with decor that will inspire and create Mediterranean memories, while meeting and mingling with other women from the community. The program will include a d`var Torah by Marilyn Fine on &#034;Sister Acts: Tales of Sisterhood in the Tanach&#034; exploring the many sides of female relationships as well as a performance by Kol Gilah, a community-based women`s choir. Tempting desserts will conclude the program. All women welcome and encouraged to attend! (But we kindly request no children under the age of 12 years old.)</p>

<p>Rene Isser and family on the passing of her mother, Dora Wyrobnik, z&#034;l. The funeral took place Thursday afternoon in Dayton, OH. Shiva will be observed in Silver Spring at the Isser home, 11533 Daffodil Lane, from Saturday night through Wednesday morning. The Isser family requests no visitors between 12 noon and 1:30pm, between 5pm and 6pm or after 10pm. <p>A review class of Hashkafos and Halachos of Taharas Mishpachah for Men will be conducted by Rabbi Rosenbaum Tuesday evening, Aug 3, at 8pm in the small Social Hall. It will be preceded by Mincha at 7:45pm.</p>
<p>The special meeting for election of a Rabbi for YISE has finished and the votes have been counted. Adam Bashein and Allison Lazar served as tellers.</p>

<p>Rabbi Dovid Rosenbaum has been elected as Rabbi with 92% of the votes cast, which is more thanthe 60% required by the YISE Constitution.</p>
<p>The next step will be contract negotiations with Rabbi Rosenbaum. The Board approved a Rabbinic Contract Negotiating Committee at the last Board Meeting.</p>
<p>The members of the Committee are Arnie Sherman (chair), David Hornestay and Manasseh Katz. The Committee will negotiate a contract with Rabbi Rosenbaum and submit it to the Board for approval.</p>

<p>The 2nd half of the Special Membership Meeting for the election of the YISE Rabbi will take place July 27, from 7:00pm to 8:45pm in the Belonofsky Sanctuary. The time to vote has been extended to 8:45pm to allow more time, especially for parents with young children. This is a continuation of the 7/21 vote. If you voted on 7/21 you may not vote again on 7/27. Please note that only full members may vote and must have paid at least 50% of last year`s dues to be in good standing.</p>

<p>There are no Shabbos Youth Groups this Shabbos. Summer groups will start July 10 for 2-5 year olds upstairs in the youth rooms. There are no summer groups for girls and boys in the 1st-4th grade.</p>

<p>Nine is Not Enough &#8211; There have been evenings recently when getting a Minyan for Mincha/Maariv at University Blvd. has been difficult&#8230; and that is a major problem for daveners there who have to say Kaddish. If you have the time and are going to daven anyway, head for University Blvd. some evenings and help keep the Minyan going.</p>
